All NSHS Students Transition and COMPASS

WorkKeys Testing Students:

All students who are taking the WorkKeys test next week may sign up for a time slot to test by going to the following link:   http://nshsadmin.ivolunteer.com/sp2014wk

Please plan for at least one hour for each test you need to take.  If you need to take more than one test, be sure to sign up for more hours – plan for one hour for each test you need.

Reminder:  Students must have assigned KeyTrain modules done by February 23rd to be able to test.  Students who do not test will need to attend the entire Transition Course at Nevada State High School on February 28th from 7:00 to 3:00 where they will work independently on KeyTrain.  Students who are exempt from Study Skills who do not complete their hours may have their exemption pulled for the remainder of the year.

Gold Exempt Students:

Level 5 Gold students have to submit their 2- page exemption by 2/21/14 to be exempt from the Transition Course/COMPASS.  Students who do not submit their paper on time or in substandard quality will need to attend the entire Transition Course at Nevada State High School on February 28th from 7:00 to 3:00 where they will work independently on school issued assignments.  Students who are exempt from Study Skills who do not complete their paper may have their exemption pulled for the remainder of the year.

Tickets to Bowlie Hawkins on 2/28/2014 will be given to students when they either deliver their 2-page paper or complete the WorkKeys testing.  Lost tickets may be purchased for $10 at the event. (Don’t lose your ticket!)
